Extending Locally Truncated Buildings and Chamber Systems

چکیده
Suppose we are given a building, or more generally a flag-geometry, and we remove all vertices of certain specified types, together with the flags containing such vertices. This is called truncating the geometry; precise definitions and an extension of this concept to chamber systems are given in (1.5). Given some flag-geometry all of whose residues are isomorphic to those of a truncated geometry, it is reasonable to ask if it is itself a truncated geometry of the same type. Consider an example. The Sp8(2) building belongs to the following diagram

Extending locally truncated chamber systems by sheaves
We generalize the theory of sheaves to chamber systems. We prove that, given a chamber system C and a family R of proper residues of C containing all residues of rank c1, every sheaf defined over R admits a completion which extends C. We also prove that, under suitable hypotheses, a sheaf defined over a truncation of C can be extended to a sheaf for C. In the last section of this paper, we appl...
متن کاملConnectivity of chamber graphs of buildings and related complexes
Let ∆ be a finite building (or, more generally, a thick spherical and locally finite building). The chamber graph G(∆), whose edges are the pairs of adjacent chambers in ∆, is known to be q-regular for a certain number q = q(∆). Our main result is that G(∆) is q-connected in the sense of graph theory. Similar results are proved for the chamber graphs of Coxeter complexes and for order complexes...

This paper is a continuation of Kantor (4, 6] and Ronan [10]. We will construct finite and infinite 'geometries' admitting flag-transitive groups and having buildings as universal covers. The first building is that of {1+ (6, (Ji2); the remaining ones are new and strange. As in the aforementioned papers, our motivation is the search for finite geometries that strongly resemble buildings, and fo...
متن کاملChamber Complexes, Coxeter Systems, and Buildings
We provide a basic formal framework for the theory of chamber complexes and Coxeter systems, and for buildings as thick chamber complexes endowed with a system of apartments. Along the way, we develop some of the general theory of abstract simplicial complexes and of groups (relying on the group add class for the basics), including free groups and group presentations, and their universal proper...
متن کاملTruncated Hepatitis B virus like nanoparticles: A novel drug delivery platform for cancer therapy
Nowadays, Nano-sized drug delivery systems have been studied extensively for theirpotential in cancer therapy. Various drug nanocarriers are being developed including liposomes, micelles, and Virus like nanoparticles (VLNPs). VLNPs offer many advantages for developing smart drug delivery systems due to their precise and repeated structures and relatively large cargo capacities. Truncated ...
